Greetings, Wilco Seniors!
The weekend is shaping up to be a big one here in WilCo. Old Settlers Park is hosting an incredible free Juneteenth festival with some massive musical headliners, and there is even a chance to play night golf under the stars in Leander.

If you prefer things a bit quieter, we also found some relaxed Sunday afternoon groups at the library. Whatever your speed is, there is a spot at the table waiting for you.
Speaking of tables, the WilCo Seniors Dinner Club filled two tables this month, and by the end of the evening people were exchanging phone numbers, sharing stories, and making plans to stay in touch. Watching new freindships begin over a meal was a beautiful reminder of how much we all need community. Thank you to everyone who joined us. Keep having fun!

This Week: Over The Hill Gang, Liberty Hill

There is a certain kind of place every town needs, and Liberty Hill has one in Over The Hill Gang. It is a self-funded senior center for adults 50 and older, built around recreation, socialization, and education. In plain English, it is a place to show up, find a table, learn something, laugh a little, and keep the week from feeling too quiet.
The center sits at 3407 Ranch Road 1869, behind Parker’s Corner, and its calendar has the kind of rhythm that makes a place feel lived in. There are games, gatherings, and opportunities to stay connected without needing a big production or a long drive.
That matters, especially in a county growing as quickly as ours. New neighborhoods are wonderful, but people still need familiar rooms, familiar faces, and places where the coffee tastes better because someone remembered your name.
If Liberty Hill is part of your weekly path, or if you know someone nearby who could use more community, this is a good name to keep close.

This Week: Tony & Luigi’s, Georgetown

1201 S. Church Street, Georgetown
If you are in the mood for a lunch that feels easy, familiar, and still a little special, Tony & Luigi’s is a good place to try. It sits just off the Square and describes itself as an inviting neighborhood restaurant serving classic Italian and Mediterranean fare seven days a week.
It has a menu that tends to make everyone at the table happy. You can keep it simple with soup and salad, settle into pasta, or make it a wine-and-dessert kind of visit. That flexibility is part of the charm. It works for lunch, dinner, a birthday, or just the kind of weekday meal where nobody wants to cook.
They also have live music on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which gives the place a little extra reason to linger if you time it right.!

🚧 County park track is closed
The track at Southwest Williamson County Regional Park closed for construction beginning June 9. If that park is part of your walking routine, check the county parks page before heading over so you’re not surprised when you get there!
⚾ Fall ball reservations open now
Williamson County Parks is accepting recurring baseball and softball reservation requests for the fall season through June 26. That may not be everyone’s errand, but it’s useful for grandparents, church groups, neighborhood teams, and anyone who helps keep a local calendar moving.

🚗 Lakeline-area resurfacing continues this summer
Cedar Park’s 2026 road resurfacing work is underway, with crews milling, repaving, and striping city streets this summer. One stretch to watch is Lakeline Boulevard between Highland Drive and Cedar Hills Boulevard, where drivers should expect lane closures and give themselves a little extra room along the way.
