🤝 A little help can make home feel easier

There often comes a point when a ride to an appointment, help with groceries or another set of hands around the house can make a big difference in staying comfortable and independent at home.
Seniors Helping Seniors East Wilco Texas provides nonmedical in-home support and pairs older adults with mature caregivers who understand the everyday challenges that can come with aging. The local office serves Georgetown, northeast Round Rock, Hutto, Taylor, Jarrell, Thrall, Coupland, Granger, Bartlett and surrounding rural communities.
Support can include companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, errands, transportation, personal care, respite care and dementia support. Families start with an in-home visit so the team can learn about the client’s needs, personality and routine before finding a caregiver match.
It can also be a meaningful opportunity for caregivers. Mature adults can choose flexible hours, earn extra income and build real connections while helping someone in their community stay independent at home.

🚗 A New East-West Route Is Open in Round Rock
The Old Settlers Boulevard extension between North Red Bud Lane and County Road 110 is now complete, giving drivers another east-west connection through northeast Round Rock and helping improve mobility in the growing area.
The project also adds a shared-use path, sidewalk, traffic signal and crosswalk, making the corridor easier to navigate on foot or by bicycle.
📷 Hutto Ends Its License Plate Camera Program
Hutto City Council has voted to cancel the city’s contract for 10 automatic license plate reader cameras, citing community concerns about privacy, data collection and possible misuse. The cameras had already been turned off in August.
The decision also blocks the city from replacing them with similar license plate reader technology from another company. Separate closed-loop cameras used in places such as city parks will remain.
