Greetings WilCo Seniors!

Can you believe it? Our country celebrated 250 years! We saw some great fireworks, experienced a small town rodeo, and spent time with family. Then we sent our daughter to one of her favorite summer activities, Pine Cove. It made me think about traditions passed down through generations, like sending kids or grandkids to summer camp or Vacation Bible School. I learned that Pine Cove started in 1967 when Bill McKenzie turned his family's land in East Texas into a faith based summer camp. Nearly 60 years later, it’s a summer paradise for over 50,000 campers in Texas, South Carolina, and Georgia. It's incredible to think that more than a million campers have experienced Pine Cove, creating memories that last a lifetime. Making it a cherished tradition for families like ours.

This Week: Full Circle WilCo

Most families don’t know where to turn when it's time for a loved one to move into a senior living community.

Julie and John Rodriguez of Liberty Hill founded Full Circle to give families the guidance they need to find the right senior living community and move their loved one there comfortably. They offer families something they can’t get from other placement services: the local perspective of a neighbor who lives in Williamson County and has personally visited every community that they recommend. Even better, finding the right home with Full Circle can be done at no cost to families.

They also offer optional move coordination services to manage every aspect of the move from scheduling to vendor supervision. Full Circle can provide concierge level management of a move so families can focus on what really matters: getting their loved one moved into their new home with dignity and comfort.

Julie and John Rodriguez live in Santa Rita Ranch in Liberty Hill with their two daughters, a couple of big bernedoodles, and a cat.

This Week: Dahlia Cafe, Liberty Hill

2450 Ranch Rd 1869, Liberty Hill

If you like a restaurant that feels like somebody’s farmhouse got very serious about lunch, Dahlia Cafe is worth the drive to Liberty Hill. The setting is rustic and easygoing, with indoor seating and a backyard under the oaks that feels especially nice when the weather cooperates.

The menu leans into dressed-up country cooking. Hand-breaded chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken, Black Angus steaks, fresh salmon, soups, sandwiches, and weekend brunch all make the place feel generous without being fussy. This is also the kind of spot where dessert should not be an afterthought, especially if you’re a pie person!

Dahlia is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Got a favorite spot you think more people should know about?

Reply and tell us the name, your go-to order, and why you love it!

🦟 Fight the Bite This Week

Williamson County and Cedar Park health officials are reminding residents to take mosquito prevention seriously after the first West Nile virus-positive mosquito trap was detected in the county. If you are going to an evening concert, market, or patio dinner, you may want to remember to bring repellent.
