Finished your book and ready for another? At Lark & Owl Booksellers, you can browse new and used titles at this independent, women-founded bookstore, with a bistro inside for a break between the shelves.

If you’d like a little help choosing, ask the staff for a recommendation. The shop puts its booksellers’ knowledge at the center of what it does, so bring along the name of a book you enjoyed.

Lunch with a friend could start with a look through the Southwestern menu at Blue Corn Harvest Bar & Grill in Cedar Park. This chef-owned restaurant has familiar favorites alongside dishes that might tempt you to try something different.

The beef-and-pork meatloaf comes with caramelized onion sauce, cotija cheese, fried onion rings and mashed potatoes. Or consider the blue crab-stuffed chicken, with Jack cheese, sweet roasted peppers and Cajun cream sauce. See the Cedar Park menu.

Save a little room if coconut cream pie catches your eye. It comes with crème anglaise and whipped cream, a sweet finish before you head home.

Haven't voted yet? Early voting ends tomorrow, Friday, October 30! Williamson County polling locations are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. both today and tomorrow.

Registered Williamson County voters can cast their ballots at any early voting location in the county. Check the county's Elections page below to find a convenient spot. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.

Medicare's annual open enrollment period is underway, and you have until December 7 to review or change your coverage for 2027. It's a good time to compare plans, check prescription drug costs, and make sure your preferred doctors are still covered. Any changes take effect January 1.
